Description

Nd:Ce:YAG is a co-doped laser crystal combining the lasing properties of neodymium (Nd³⁺) with the UV absorption benefits of cerium (Ce³⁺) in a YAG (Y₃Al₅O₁₂) host matrix. It emits at the strong 1064 nm wavelength, making it ideal for high-power solid-state laser systems. The addition of Ce³⁺ ions enhances UV resistance and acts as a sensitizer, increasing the pump absorption efficiency of Nd³⁺ ions, particularly under flashlamp pumping.
